This Thursday (16), the holiday of Corpus Christi Sesc Thermas de Presidente Prudente (SP) offers a program with singer Mariangela Zan and a kite and carp workshop. The program is free.
Born in S ប៉ូo Paulo (SP), Mariangela is the daughter of Italian music producer Mario Zan. The artist is a scholar of Brazilian music, especially of Caipira root culture.
She said that the expectations for the show are high because she has not performed in the area for many years. “I was in President Prudente between 2012 and 2013 and it was a beautiful program. It’s an area I have in my heart. “It’s a warm audience that loves the show and I hope they like it now.”
In this show, Mariangela showcases a wealth of legends and popular songs from popular Brazilian songbooks such as drag-feet, vanerões, rasqueados, toadas, baiões, forrós, cururus, modas de viola, baylon and guarânias.
“The public can expect good dance, country music, happy performances. We will dedicate Mario Zan to the festival on June because my father is the author of Festa na Roça and also a quadrangle. “Although our event is not a festa junina, we will be doing it on June 16, so the taste of the festa junina will be served to the people.”
Among the songs that the public can expect is “Chalana” from the Pantanal Opera by Rede Globo, written by Mario Zan and Arlindo Pinto, “Saudades da Minha Terra”, “Menino da Porteira” among others.
Powerful vocalist as well as singer Mariangela Zan is the host of the Aparecida Sertaneja TV show on Aparecida TV.
The event takes place in the living area at 4pm with free admission.
Children can participate in kite and carp workshop – Photo: Presentation
At Quintal do Sesc Thermas, kite and carp workshops give children the opportunity to learn koi-nobori or the “carp flag”. Participants will be divided into six groups.
Lecturer is Silvio Voce, author of books and magazines on kites and flying games. He is also the creator of kite events and champions.
This activity is part of the program of the project “Infindável Viagem: Takeo Sawada Artist Educator”, conducted between 2021 and 2022 by Sesc Thermas.
The koi-nobori is a fish-shaped bird that symbolizes courage, strength and perseverance. It is the hallmark of a traditional Japanese party dedicated to the children among them, which Sawada loves to do.
The workshop is free for children 6 to 10 years old, accompanied by responsible adults. Just come join.
The six classes are divided as follows:
- 10-11 a.m. (Grade 1)
- From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Grade 2)
- 12 to 1 pm (Grade 3)
- 2pm to 3pm (Grade 4)
- 3 to 4 pm (Grade 5)
- 4 to 5 pm (Grade 6)
